CPA

A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a financial advisor that aids individuals and businesses plan and achieve their financial goals ranging from goals such as saving for a new home, financially planning for the opening of a new office, or mergers and acquisitions to do with organizations. In order to be eligible for a CPA certificate, you need to have completed 150 hours of college/university coursework. There are four exams a candidate would have to pass to attain the certification: Auditing & Attestation, Business Environment & Concepts, Financial Accounting & Reporting, and Regulation. Exams are held 4 times a year: February, May, August & November.

I am currently working as an accounts assistant in an international law firm located in the DIFC. My employers wish me to sit the CPA exams and I am looking forward to studying this. I currently hold a degree in BSC – Management Accounting from Notre Dame University Philippines.Could you please advise if this would allow me access to commence the course? If not, could you please advise which exams I need to sit to gain access?
