Among the test preparation courses NIEC offers,IELTS preparation course is the one that NIEC is well renowned for. Our course is of six weeks ,and it is taught in rotational module system.The preparation duration of Listening and Speaking modules is one week each whereas it is two weeks each for Reading and Writing modules.Every Sunday,a new module begins, and it ends by Thursday.New students can start their course from Sunday .
The IELTS course aims to prepare students with the skills and strategies needed to undertake the IELTS test with confidence and to succeed in the IELTS examination. The course will give students intensive practice in each module, making sure the students know exactly how to make best use of their time. They will do practice tests in each skill under exam conditions and instructor will give them feedback on their performance to help them improve.
NIEC's IELTS course syllabus is the blend of skills development,strategies,techniques and knowledge that help students enhance their test taking ability and achieve scores beyond their expectation and need. It caters from basic listening skills to specific advanced strategies that talk about very speedy way to solve most difficult questions of reading. The lessons delivered for each module are based on the NIEC IELTS course syllabus which combines both theory and practice of the module. Students can enjoy the 21st century classroom and modern classroom accessories like projectors, audio system, computer system are additional factors that make course delivery much more interactive and systematized .Our IELTS class room is equipped with modern technology that is necessary for effective learning environment.
NIEC holds a large volume of IELTS books and practice materials which can be used sitting in library or can be borrowed for fixed duration.Beside that,the respective IELTS instructor provides electronic version practice materials in students' pen drives.
We conduct IELTS mock test every Friday, and the result is issued by next Sunday.Regular monitoring of student performance is maintained ,and the feedback of student performance is provided which always makes student feel how much more effort he/she will have to put to achieve desired score.

Our History
NIEC’s beginnings were humble; we started out from a nondescript location in a suburb – with just 4 rooms on very small premises in Koteshwor, Kathmandu. Our operations, at this stage were restricted to counseling students for entry into UK institutions. Then in 2002, NIEC moved to the newly constructed Share Market Complex. This six-storey, state of the art building is one of the most conspicuous landmarks in the capital and served as a launching pad for several new services and courses. With over 5200 square feet of office space at the new location, NIEC spared no expenses in air-conditioning the entire premises and installing fully equipped Self-access Center, Library, Computer Labs, Classrooms and Administrative blocks. The growing market awareness about the NIEC brand and the quality of services, reinforced by lavish facilities on board, ensure that the above-mentioned investments are paying off. NIEC continues to be the undisputed market leader in iBT, IELTS, SAT, GRE and GMAT along with PTE and KET. Our Study Abroad division is also the most successful in Nepal with students placed in North America, Europe and Asia.
