It depends on the school requirements. I know British schools ask teachers to get IELTS General and achieve 5.5!

Without knowing the school in question, I would recommend IELTS Academic for you as it is slightly more difficult. A teaching job requires academic language, and although they might accept both, you would be better to opt for IELTS Academic.
