Appointed Person

Course Objectives
To provide clear information on current legislation, codes of practice and guidance notes associated with temporary construction work, ensuring the implementation of a safe system of work. To gain knowledge and information on the Appointed Person's responsibilities.

Course Content
 Responsibilities and all statutory requirements - in particular the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the approved Code of Practice supporting legislation
 Requirements of Dubai Code of Safety Practice in Construction Site.
 Duties of the Appointed Person at worksite
 Commitments and Responsibilities
 Safe Use of Plant and Machinery
 Method Statement, and Risk Assessment and Risk Management

Certification: NAJMA Certificate, valid for 2 years

Assessment: students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is also a summative assessment of knowledge and skills at the end of this course.

Number of students per course: Maximum 12 Students per course
