This qualification is aimed at all staff, particularly new starters in any workplace, where a basic understanding of fire safety is required. Learners gaining this qualification will know that fire safety is the responsibility of everyone in the workplace and will recognise their contribution in the prevention of fires and fire spread.This international qualification would be typically delivered to learners through a half-day training course (4 hours).
Topics covered include the main causes of fire in the workplace, the duties or employers, employees and fire wardens, fire prevention measures and fire control measures, portable fire fighting equipment, actions to take in case of a fire and ways to contact the emergency services.
