This course is designed to equip learners with the responsibilities, functions and roles of a functional SHE Representative/SHE Advisor. It is aligned to the HWSETA 259622 Unit standards. This course describes the following:- The framework of workplace health and safety legislation pertaining to health and safety representatives.
- The objectives of the current legislation in terms of its impact on both employees and employers.
- The importance of complying with the terms of the current legislation in terms of the consequences to health, safety, environment and production.
- The statutory requirements applicable to a health and safety representative are explained in terms of their effect on the duties and functions.
- The statutory requirements applicable to a health and safety committee members in terms of their effect on the duties and functions.
