This course is designed to equip participants with adequate basic knowledge on rescue for purpose of executing rescue planning and rescue operation in a confined space.Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing this course, participants will be able to identify and control/eliminate hazards in and around Confined Spaces, as well as, how to operate safely within a Confined Space, and the basic understanding of the requirements of Confined Space Rescue so that the attendees can go to the next step of becoming fully trained in Confined Space Rescue.

This Training is designed for any person in the company those who are appointed rescuers who stand by confined space entry work or operation.
Course Content:
- Introduction, Definition and Characteristics of Confined Space
- The Importance of Safety for Confined Space
- Communication / Toolbox Meeting / Permit To Work System
- Duties of the support personnel for confined spaces
- Understanding confined space identification and its related potential hazards
- Confined Space Safety and Emergency Procedures
- Retrieval Method and use of various rescue equipment
- Rescue planning & preparation work and Practical training
- Practical training on donning of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) set
- Rescue without entry and rescue with entry in Confined Space
- Emergency procedures and rescue of personnel in confined spaces
- First Aid (awareness)
Equipment's Required
- Permit Hole/Safety Watcher.
- Gas Tester/Detector.
- FBH ( Full Body Harness)
- Tripod with Lifeline
- Arrangement of ventilation and Light (If Required inside Confined Space)
- Means of communication
- SCBA ( For Demo we will arrange)
Location : At the site where actual demonstration can be carried out
Certification: NAJMA Certificate, valid for 2 years
Assessment: Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills. There is also a summative assessment of knowledge and skills at the end of this course.
