MEDIC First Aid Basic Plus is a combined adult CPR, AED, and first aid training program designed specifically for the occupational first aid provider. This extremely flexible program will help employers meet OSHA and other federal and state regulatory requirements for training employees how to respond and care for medical emergencies at work.
 
The program is based upon the 2010 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science with Treatment Recommendations (COSTR) and other evidence-based treatment recommendations.
 
Course Objectives
Upon completion of the Medic First Aid course, the trainee will be familiar with basic First Aid/CPR skills as provided in the EMP of America Basic Skills Guidebook. Participants will understand rules and receive instruction and testing on the following elements:

• Removal of contaminated gloves.
• External chest ;
• Rescue breaths using a CPR mask or shield.
• Primary assessment for an unresponsive person.
• CPR as a single ;
• Primary assessment for a responsive person.
• Control of severe bleeding.
• Stabilization of a suspected head, neck, or back injury.
• Stabilization of a swollen, painful, deformed limb
