    Course details

Building on the body of existing knowledge obtained during the completion of SAMTRAC and other recognised HSE qualifications, Advanced SAMTRAC is an extension of the SAMTRAC suite of courses delivering on the HSE industry's need for an extended qualification. Advanced SAMTRAC provides established HSE professionals with a combination of progressive HSE theory, as required to understand the practical application of complex HSE concepts, and a self-study assignment focusing on the application of the HSE methodology.

The pedagogy of Advanced SAMTRAC comprises five interactive discussion-based classroom days delivering the advanced HSE theoretical content, supplemented by an additional five interactive days with an industry expert during the course of the practical assignment. The interactive sessions will rely on group discussions and collaboration as required for the formulating of a framework for the individual assignment. The qualification can be obtained in a minimum of two months. In order to meet the requirements for the qualification, competency based assessments comprise both a written assessment accounting for 30% of the final mark, and an individual practical assignment accounting for 70% of the final mark.
