This programme has been designed to enable participants to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently describe international and national standards auditing and quality management systems and the role of food standards auditing in safety and quality maintenance and improvement, understanding the roles and responsibility of the internal auditor in relation to the maintenance and improvement of food standards quality management systems. On completion participants will be able to conduct food standards audits to include evidence gathering through observations, interviewing and sampling, being capable of completing food standards audit reports using appropriate documentation.

• Participants applying for this award should hold a level 5 and/or have relevant life and work experience. Applicants will have the opportunity to advise of any special learning requirements on application/registration

• 60% Project and 40% Examination
