This course aims to cover all aspects of Air & Saturation ping methods & procedures. Participants will receive an overview of the reasoning & methodology behind the planning and execution of a professional offshore ping operation.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

To enable participants to be conversant & have a better understanding of working with pers & the latest ping techniques.

Understand the medical, physiological & practical restrictions placed on pers & subsea works.

COURSE CONTENT

• Overview of ping Physics Theory
• ping System Assurance – IMCA D011 and IMCA D10/10
• Overview of ping Physiology
• Surface ping Procedures & Methods — including SRP systems
• General Safety Requirements — surface supplied ping and saturation ping methods
• Review of ping System Assurance Criteria (DESIGN) use
• Saturation ping Methods & Systems
• Overview of IMCA & OGP Documentation
• Lesson learnt — review of industry safety flashes

Competency development of a better awareness of ping operations for those who are not directly involved in the ping industry.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Those who have a little or no knowledge of ping operations but are indirectly involved with ping operations in some aspect, who will benefit from an increased awareness, such as project managers, operations managers, human resource personnel, engineers, technicians, sub-sea engineers.

Note: The course is delivered in English and involves practical hands-on experience with ping equipment and chambers. For personnel who have suitable medical, a ‘chamber pe’ may be conducted to experience pressurisation.
