Can someone with no background in accounting and finance take up the SAP FICO course?

Prerequisite to Learn SAP FICO
Basic Knowledge of Accounting principles.
Debits/Credits.
Balance Sheet Accounts.
Income Statements.
Basic Business terminologies: Vendor, Customer, Inventory, Revenue, Expenses, Cost Centre, Profit Centre, Asset etc.

A person having no accounting background can take a small course of Basic Accounting followed by SAP FI CO, wherein he/she will get the fundamentals of accountancy along with SAP knowledge.

Dear learning FI/CO module is not a big deal, person with no background can also take SAP FICO course. But getting job as a finance person in an SAP implemented organisation without finance knowledge is not possible.

I will make it easy to understand better, after learning SAP FICO you will be doing accounts related job using SAP software. In FICO course u can learn using software, u can also learn basics of accounting, but how u will get a job in industry as a accountant or finance person without finance knowledge.

No doubt SAP is a leading, high-paid and highly demanded ERP worldwide. If u are really interested to learn SAP I would better recommend to choose an SAP module based on your education or work experience.

SAP MM (Material Management) is a module that doesnt require any specific knowledge, even a person with simple BA can also take a course and will get job as well.

As far demand is concerned SAP MM module is also as much demanded as SAP FICO module. Since 1992 till today there is not a single implementation has been done without involvement of SAP MM consultant.
