Course Overview
At the Petroleum Institute, students will take basic science courses in mathematics, physics and chemistry along with courses in communication and social sciences before the two and a half years of engineering science courses in thermodynamics, kinetics, transport, materials extraction and synthesis, materials structure and characterization, materials processing and forming, materials selection and application in addition to courses in corrosion and surface engineering. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about, materials economics, statistical process control, welding metallurgy and materials recycling and sustainability.
