APDL, meaning ANSYS Parametric Design Language is the classic interface of ANSYS. The main menu is arranged purely based on the different stages in a Finite Element Analysis. This is the version most used in Civil Structural Analysis Purposes. APDL also encompasses a wide range of other features such as repeating a command, macros, if-then-else branching, do-loops, and scalar, vector and matrix operations.
