Course details

The Experience Ireland programme is an innovative cultural programme for teachers of English. It includes instruction in the latest theories and methodologies in English language teaching alongside an introduction to the key cultural aspects of Irish society and an opportunity to improve core EFL skills.

This Course is for Teachers of English who want to take an In-Service or Refresher course as part of the continuing professional development;

The course requires a very high level of fluency in English;

The maximum number of teachers on the course will be 8;

The programme includes input on the history of Irish literature and a visit to Coole Park or Thoor Ballylee associated with the poet Yeats;

It also includes input on current Irish writing and a visit to a poetry publishing company;

There are also excursions to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren National Park;

There is a lively social programme of traditional music and dancing included in this course.
