This course provides fundamentals in functional and technical areas such as procurement, inventory, Sales & Distribution, Finance, Human Resource and ABAP. Students may choose to enrol in any one of the following modules:

Upon completion of this unit candidates will be able to assume functions as Business IT professionals which will enable them to move towards being ERP Consultant. This course provides understanding of business process and the ability to use applications in SAP ERP.

Course Modules
Students will acquire the knowledge and skills needed to:
Finance
- Identify different ERP vendors and ERP products on the market
- Evaluate the different hardware/software acquisition alternatives
- Create master data related to finance
- Evaluate how master data is organized in an ERP system
- Perform various account related transactions in SAP Finance
Human Resource
- Demonstrate knowledge of issues relating to the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of HRIS's and their subsequent level of use;
- Demonstrate knowledge of the change management issues involved in the implementation of an HRIS;
- Use the HR module of SAP to set up an organisation, create jobs, positions, tasks, work centres,
- Use the HR module for recruitment, management and development of employees; design and create reports; and
- Use the skills and competencies that contribute to the effective management of human resources.
Materials Management
- Comprehend the concepts and Operating Environment of Supply Chain Management
- Analyse the concepts and functions of Materials Management
- Create the master data for procurement and inventory transactions
- Perform procurement transactions
- Create Goods receipt and Goods issue documents in MM module
- Perform logistics invoice verification for the vendors invoice
Sales & Distribution
- Demonstrate the skills and knowledge of processes of a Sales and Distribution Function in an Organization
- Create Sales & Distribution related master data
- Analyse the sales process and perform the relevant transactions
- Perform billing transaction to the customers
- Analyse the integration of SD with other modules such as MM and FI
ABAP
- Appreciate the advantages and disadvantages of using a commercial programming language to solve common business problems;
- Write programs to process the data necessary to produce reports;
- Develop programs to use internal tables;
- Analyse programs that organize and process files;
- Demonstrate knowledge of the structure and use of files;
- Use a mini or mainframe computer system in a multi-user programming environment, and appreciate the advantages and difficulties of such an environment;
- Use structured programming techniques to produce solutions to a range of business problems
- Design and document programs using techniques such as Structure Charts and Pseudo code
Entry Requirement
- Students should have Bachelor Degree or Diploma students with at least 5 years of experience in a relevant field
- Prospective students are those who have not obtained the following SOAs IT-RG-402S-1 Gather Data to identify business requirements IT-RG-404S-1 & Translate business needs into Functional requirements
- Students must be Singaporean / SPR to avail WDA funding
Certificates Issued
Upon successful completion of this module students will be issued with following SOAs:

- IT-RG-404S-1 Translate business needs into Functional requirements
Education Pathway
Graduates who wish to pursue Masters of Business (ERP Systems) will get an exemption for 1 module.
Graduation Requirements
Students must successfully pass or deemed Competent (C) in assessments. Student upon failing will need to take the module again. An additional charge applies in such cases.
