Report writing is an essential skill for professionals in almost every field. A report aims to inform, as clearly and succinctly as possible. It should be easy to read, and professional in its presentation. Exactly what you include in your report and how you present it, will vary according to the specific purpose of the report. Before beginning to write a report, the questions “Why?” should the report be written, “to Whom?” do they go, and “What?” should be included, and finally “How?” they can be written well, to be useful, need to be asked and identified.
