The Travel, Tourism & Hospitality programme is designed to teach students methods for effective managerial responsibilities and it offers a platform to think critically, perform analytical studies and develop logical arguments to support the business decision making in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality processions.

- On completion of the Advanced Diploma course students will be awarded a Shelton Advanced Diploma in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality and can proceed to pursue to do their Business degree with specialization in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality.
Aims
The Advanced Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality programme allows students to acquire the critical business knowledge and offering a wider choice of specialization. The program is specially designed to inculcate students the concepts and tools for more effective managerial responsibilities in tourism industry. The course offers an interactive medium for inpiduals to learn critical thinking, perform analytical studies, as well as to develop logical arguments to support the business decision-making process.
On completion of the programme the students will develop:

Module Synopses
Business Law
This unit provides an introduction to basic principles of law relating to business. It develops student’s knowledge of general principles of contract and criminal law, and more specific statutory provisions relating to consumer and employee protection. It also provides an introduction to business units, their formation, management and dissolution. The student is encouraged to analyse and evaluate legal provisions and to adopt a practical approach to problem solving.
Financial Management
This module aims to develop the student’s understanding of business finance/ financial management, emphasising its integration with financial/ cost and management accounting and to introduce students to the area of company re-organizations and acquisitions.
Marketing Management
This module aims to develop the students’ appreciation of the role and value of marketing in a variety of organization settings, the types and the management of the marketing mix to achieve objectives and the nature and sources of information used in marketing management.
Corporate Strategy
This module covers the analysis of strategic problems, application of techniques and concepts available to the corporate planner, assessment and choice among strategic options, understanding of the financial, human and organizational issues which influence the development and implementation of corporate strategies and plans and the assessment of the impact and implications of international and global issues on the corporate strategic planning process.
Tourism and Environment
This module aims for students to understand the environmental impacts of tourism and the methods of planning and managing tourism development in order to counteract the negative impacts which will be examined with reference to case studies at regional destination, site and inpidual company level.
Travel Tour Management
The module covers the structure, operation and organization of the travel agency and tour operation sectors. It will help the students to understand the conceptual meaning and differentiation between travel agency and tour operations.
International Tourism
This module is developed for the students to understand the patterns, principles and management of the international tourism, travel and hospitality industry and the relationship between the various components of the industry and the patterns of global tourism.
Travel Tourism and Hospitality Operations Management
The aim of this module is to develop the students’ theoretical grasp of the principles of operational management and the ability to apply these principles to professional practice in service sector organizations.
Assessments
The 8 modules are assessed by a written examination or a written examination and an assignment or projects.The examinations are held at the end of each module and re-sit examinations are conducted after the assessment and award board meetings which are held 3 times each year.
