Course Description:The course provides delegates with knowledge of the dynamics of labour market, conflict management, and affirmative action, the latest labour legislation, grievances and dismissals, collective bargaining structures and processes, CCMA conciliation and arbitration, and strikes and negotiation skills.

After completion of the programme, delegates will be able to:
- analyse interaction within a labour relations system;
- describe the most important guidelines in labour legislation;
- explain the environmental influences on labour relations;
- set up and maintain an effective communication, representation and grievance resolution structure;

- deal with disputes through a negotiation and/or CCMA process; and
- deal with industrial action.

- Labour laws in Europe and US.
- History and environmental influences on labour relations (LR) participants in LR workplace procedures (communication, representation, grievances, discipline and dismissal)
- Collective bargaining structures and process negotiation
- Dispute resolution (conciliation, arbitration and industrial action)
