The Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) was established in September 2003, during the early 2000s economic crisis to help our workforce cope through training and skills upgrading.
WDA was given a clear mission to lead, drive and champion workforce development, enhancing the employability and competitiveness of Singapore's workforce. The agency began with three main objectives:
- keep training relevant
- strengthen the Continuing Education and Training (CET) infrastructure
- help workers find jobs
