Course details
This unit is designed to help managers understand the fundamentals in Project Management. It focuses on developing project schedules that help to track progress, and to deal with changes in the schedule that would enable project managers to meet the desired outcomes within deadlines. The unit equips participants with an understanding of the main techniques and processes associated with developing a schedule for media-related projects. This involves understanding the steps that are required to ensure timely performance of the project: activity definition, activity sequencing, duration estimating, schedule development and schedule control.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Assess project time constraints in order to sequence tasks accordingly
- Develop project schedule to guide time management of the project
- Implement and manage project schedule to ensure project objectives are met within the stipulated time frame
