The AICPA helps you enter the CPA profession and stay there, by connecting you to the people and information you need to succeed. It advocates on your behalf to regulators, legislators and the general public, letting them know how essential CPAs are to society. It provides continuing education opportunities to make smart accounting professionals even smarter.The AICPA also develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination. It's all part of the AICPA's plan to build accountancy's reputation as a profession of individuals who are educated, ethical, and focused on serving the common good.
The syllabus is split into three pillars and three levels, and comprises 12 exams.

Eligibility / Requirements
School Leaver –
As a school leaver, you begin CIMA by studying the CIMA Certificate In Business Accounting, which will give you a solid grounding in the fundamentals of Management Accounting. The certificate is a standalone qualification as well as being a stepping stone to the CIMA professional qualification.
Undergraduate or Graduate –
You may be eligible for exemptions from CIMA depending on qualifications you are studying or have completed. This will need to be an accredited degree by CIMA or a degree relating to accounting, business or finance law. You can check this through the CIMA online exemption checker
MBA Holder –
If you hold an MBA or Masters In Accounting then you may be eligible for the Masters Gateway route (12 exemptions fast track route)
Member of a professional Body –
If you are a member or a passed finalist of an IFAC body or a member or finalist of the management accounting bodies ICWAI, ICMAB, ICMAP then you may be entitled to entry into the fast track Gateway examination route (12 exemptions)
