COURSE OVERVIEW

This module is intended to provide you with a solid grounding in the key areas of HRM and to make you a more effective manager.  You will learn why effective human resource management (HRM) is proving to be such an important factor in the success of managers and their organisations.  Moreover, you will explore the key practice areas in HRM, including performance management, HR planning, work organisation, and recruitment and selection.  Collective and organisational issues affecting HRM are discussed.
