The program has two key and distinct aims Give participants the necessary practical and hands on knowledge and skills to be able to take up a Junior Java Programmer role in a company in the ICT industry Prepare the participants for the highly regarded Oracle Certified Associate Java Programmer exam.

Requirements
- No minimum age requirement
- Applicants should have completed a FETAC level 5 or equivalent ICT industry recognised course or have participated in a 3rd level ICT related course
- Basic mathematical and logical problem solving skills are desirable. An aptitude for computer technologies, gaming, web setup & design etc would be a distinct advantage
- Previous experience in an ICT related role would be an advantage. Experience with computer troubleshooting, web design as a pastime etc would also be good
