Course details
The aim of the programme is to provide learners with the skills and knowledge to drive a passenger carrying vehicle in a safe and fuel efficient manner. The course includes Bus/Coach driving tuition, Driver CPC training, Occupational First Aid, Fuel Efficient Driving and Customer Service. Learners will also complete of work placement and gain valuable experience working in a passenger transport company. There is currently a growing demand for qualified bus/coach drivers and by completing this course learners will be well positioned to take up employment driving a bus or coach. Applicants for this Momentum Programme must be unemployed for longer and be in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance / Benefit or on the Live Register for longer. Eligibility must be confirmed by DSP Employment Services.

Requirements
- Applicants must be 21 years of age and over
- No Specific Education/Training Level Required
- Spatial aptitude Good numerical and literacy skills Excellent command of the English language
- Experience working in a services industry dealing with the public is an advantage but not a necessity Learners must have a full Category B (Car) driving licence. Learners must have a learner permit for Licence category D (Bus/Coach) or D1 (Minibus) Ability to identify and understand road signs Learners will have to pass an in-vehicle CAB test
