Course details
Social Leadership is a style of leadership fit for the Social Age, the world of constant change we live in today. It is a form of authority earned within our communities, contextual, consensual and founded upon our social reputation. It can complement our formal authority, within a hierarchy, but it is also available to those with no formal power at all.
Social Leaders help an organisation to thrive, by connecting the power of the community to the everyday challenges of work: for an organisation to become Socially Dynamic, it's essential: 'sociallydynamic' is a state of embedded agility, a broad based capacity for change.
Social Leadership is built upon humility, fairness and kindness, but it's no soft form of power: it's a power that is earned and, because of that, it carries great weight. It's built upon trust.
This course provides a practical journey to becoming a Social Leader: it's structured to ask one question, or offer one provocation, every day.
It takes us through the foundations, then onto the nine elements of the NET Model, each one lasting two weeks, that cover the specific skills of Social Leadership.
This is not the whole journey, but if you follow this pathway, in 100 days time, you will have set the foundations for becoming a strong Social Leader.
