Course details
The Diploma in Marketing Management is specially designed for those who wish to acquire or upgrade their knowledge and skills not only in the arena of business operations but also specifically in the field of marketing management, and to further their career.
Programme Objective
The Diploma in Marketing Management programme aims to provide students with a holistic view of the business process, and at the same time be equipped with the broader knowledge in managing the marketing functions.
Examinations & Assessment
This programme involves a combination of coursework, assignments, projects, presentations and examinations / tests. All modules contain both formative and summative assessment components. Summative assessments for each module may be based on an inpidual assignment, tutorials, group project and a final written examination.
Tutorials during class may take a variety of forms depending on the module and include class participation, debates, case studies and oral presentations. Take home work may also be allocated to students.
Students are required to pass the overall assessment in order to be granted a passing grade for the module. A student who fails the final examination will take the supplementary examination. However, a supplementary examination fee applies.
Should the student fail the supplementary examination, he or she is required to repeat the module. To repeat a failed module, a student must attend classes and pay a re-module course fee before he/she is considered eligible to take the examinations. In the case of non-examination modules, a student who fails the major assessment component (highest percentage weightage) will be required to re-work.
All students are required to fulfil the attendance requirement of at least 90% (international students) and 75% (local students) for each module before they are considered eligible to take the end-of-semester examinations.
