Majority of our students come from non-English speaking Asian countries.
Our programs are designed to help them to achieve maximum progress during their study of the courses with us. These programmes are also highly recommended for people who want to learn the language, namely English, for academic or professional advancement. Our specially developed curriculum will enable students to acquire the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing with confidence within the shortest period of time.

Methodology
We believe that to learn and master the English language, it is recommended that you engage with it in your daily life. This means that you will need to spend a lot of time practicing and speaking with other students. Our teachers will listen to you, correct your mistakes, build your confidence, and give you advice on how you can improve. They will also show you the ways to practice your English outside the classroom so that you can progress quickly

Placement Test
During your enrolement, you will take a placement test and go through an interview with the program manager. Based on your placement test results we will then recommend you the appropriate entry level for the course.

Marks below 39: Certificate in Intensive English Program for Academic Purposes 1 (Elementary)

Attendance Requirements
Minimum attendance for international students
The course attendance must be at least 90% (within a month) to meet ICA's requirement and to be eligible for end-course awards. ICA will be informed once a student's monthly attendance falls short of 90%
Minimum attendance for local students
The course attendance must be at least 75% for the whole course period.
Minimum attendance for students taking short courses
The course attendance must be at least 75% for the whole course period.
Course Assessment
We monitor your improvement at all times and there is a final exam at the end of each level. Your teacher will advise you on your progress during the course. If your course work, attendance and test results are satisfactory, you will be able to progress to the next level.
Assessment Scheme:
Attendance 5%, Class Participation 10%, Project/Assignment/Homework 25%, Written Examination 60%
