Course details
To teach the safe operation of a side boom crane, to ensure the safety of the operator, the safety of other persons nearby, the safety of the crane, the safety of the suspended load, safety of nearby property, and safety of the environment. On completion of the course, you will:
- Perform all pre-operating and safety checks.
- Understand the safe lifting-capacity and the reach-capacity of any side boom crane, and situations leading to overload and instability.
- Lift, travel, reach, and lower any load from/to any location with maximum safety.
