Course details
This course is designed to provide participants with a basic understanding of initiating, planning, controlling and closing out projects. Participants will develop project management skills including: the ability to define clear and measurable project objectives; evaluate alternatives; identify, rank, and manage project risks. Various progress measurement tools (PERT, Gantt, use of baselines, etc.) will be introduced.
Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of communications and teamwork in project management; and best practices in accessing and assigning project resources. This course will provide participants with knowledge about setting organizational standards for effective project management. Case studies and various industry examples will be used throughout the course to demonstrate these areas.
