The Project Management Advanced Diploma is a higher level advanced qualification and is internationally recognised and awarded by CMI (UK). It is the most comprehensive course of its kind, offering 6 different modules covering vital areas of Project Management with a third of the course covering financial aspects of project management. Modules include: Planning & Scheduling, Nature of PM, Computers & PM, Financial & Commercial Framework, Managing works and costs, Purchasing & Materials Management. The focus is on examining general project management without committing to either Prince 2 or PMI PMBOK, methodology. This is a refreshing change as it gives you an overview of both schools of Project Management.
Many past graduates have successfully secured Project Management positions, work visas not just in Ireland but in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United State and the Middle East. Students who are already PMP® or CAPM® Certified will also receive 72 PDU’s from the PMI® – Project Management Institute as part of their continuous Professional development. CAPM & PMP is a registered mark of the Project Management Institute, Inc.
CMI is a Registered Education Provider (REP) of the Project Management Institute (USA) and this course has been approved by the PMI for up to 72 Professional development Units (PDU’s). PDU credits are essential for students who are already qualified PMP certified and who wish to maintain membership.
Course Aims
The aim of the Project Management Advanced Diploma course is to help you appreciate project management & its key competencies, understand the importance of the planning process, acquire techniques for estimating durations and project schedules, manage allocation of resources, cost management & control, risk and response strategies.
You will be introduced to a wide range of project management tools and techniques to help you deal with simple to complex projects. This ensures that you have a well-rounded view of Project Management. The Computers & PM section includes an overview of Agile, Scrum and MS Office Project which will be a stepping stone to use these approaches for effective PM application. The course is delivered by qualified and experienced Project Managers who offer insights relating to their own experience, particularly on project planning, financials aspects of project management and computers and PM. This is a unique and fascinating course.

There are 6 core modules to study;

- Nature & Organisation of Project Management
- Planning & Scheduling
- Purchasing & Materials Project Management
- The Financial & Commercial Framework
3 exams at end of each term will take place. It is a 3 hour written exam for each module.
