About Course:
The course is designed to provide nursing students with knowledge about alcoholism and drug abuse, related community resources and social agency networks, legal and ethical issues in its treatment and prevention. An overview of biopsychosocial issues theories and scientific research findings about these disorders will be reviewed. Treatment planning and case management, as well as the role of resistance and denial in recovery will be covered.
