Entry Requirements:

Student be at least 15 years of age and be reasonably competent in both oral and written English at the secondary school level.

Course Outline

Level 3 Diploma in Computing is a 5-module qualification. This course is an introductory course to the field of Computer Studies. Each module gives an introduction to the IT field of study. Further, Mathematical & English Language skills are improved through this programme. The modules are as follows:

Students can achieve the guided learning hours in combination of face-to-face classroom interactions, self study and group study as well as research work. They will be required to attend a certain number of lecture hours to support their studies, and will receive guidance to complete the learning hours.

Award Criteria

Students must satisfy the minimum attendance requirements (75% for part-time students and 90% for full-time students) for the award of Certificate of Attendance (COA) in all the modules.

Grading System

Each module is assessed for 100%. Assessment is based on coursework and / or examination. The module grading is as follows:

Distinction 70% to 100%
Merit 60% to 69%
Pass 40% to 59%
Assessment Information

All the modules are assessed based on coursework and / or examination by NCC Education, UK. Assessments are conducted in March, June, September & December of every year.

Expected date of release of Assessment result

Assessment results will be available to the students within 3 months upon completion of the last assessment for that assessment cycle. Appeal (if any) on assessment results must be lodged within 7 days after the release of assessment results.
