Level 3 Diploma in Computing is a 5-module qualification. This course is an introductory course to the field of Computer Studies. Each module gives an introduction to the IT field of study. Students can achieve the guided learning hours in combination of face-to-face classroom interactions, self study and group study as well as research work. They will be required to attend a certain number of lecture hours to support their studies, and will receive guidance to complete the learning hours.
Award Criteria
Students must satisfy the minimum attendance requirements (75% for part-time students and 90% for full-time students) for the award of Certificate of Attendance (COA) in all the modules.
Grading System
Each module is assessed for 100%. Assessment is based on coursework and / or examination. The module grading is as follows:
Distinction 70% to 100%
Merit 60% to 69%
Pass 40% to 59%
Assessment Information
All the modules are assessed based on coursework and / or examination by NCC Education, UK. Assessments are conducted in March, June, September & December of every year.
Expected date of release of Assessment result
Assessment results will be available to the students within 3 months upon completion of the last assessment for that assessment cycle. Appeal (if any) on assessment results must be lodged within 7 days after the release of assessment results.
