Course details
Level 2 aims to raise the candidates’ use of English to Upper Intermediate level. On successful completion of Level 2, candidates can be expected to be able to study for the CTH Diploma qualifications and other courses available, with some confidence.
COURSE OUTCOME
- Enables students to learn English Communication contextualised for the hospitality and tourism sectors;
- Aids academic progression;
- Enables students to gain credit towards higher education;
- Enables students to develop higher level academic skills that can be applied in a vocational context
COURSE STRUCTURE
Modules: Six (6) Modules
- English for effective interviews and careers in tourism and hospitality
- English for Tour Guides
- Customer Relations English for Tourism and Hospitality
- English for Hotels, Locations, and Travel Agents
- English for Accommodation and Staffing
- English for Aviation
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 16 years old at time of registration; and
- Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
- Language Proficiency: English
For Mature Candidates
- Are 21 years and above at the time of registration; and
- Have at least 2 years of verifiable working experience; and
- Provide a detailed resume with contact details of past and present employers
- All applications are subject to the school’s assessment of eligibility for entry into the programme.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Students will be awarded the CTH Level 2 Diploma in English Communication in Tourism and Hospitality QCF by CTH, if they achieve at least a Pass grade in all modules of the assessment.
