Leading Projects and Leading People Course:
This practical course combines essential Project Management fundamentals with key principles of people leadership. It focuses on analyzing engagement performance through effective planning and control while employing techniques to achieve results collaboratively. Participants will explore how proper collaboration enhances success and fosters accountability and trust within teams.

- Understanding Process Groups and Project Life Cycles
- Exploration of Knowledge Areas and competing demands
- Introduction to Project Planning
- Mix & Match Exercise: Identify your project lifecycle and key deliverables.
Scope Management:
- Defining and prioritizing project requirements
- Small Group Exercise: Create a scope document linking requirements.
- Establishing change control and escalation processes
- Managing stakeholder expectations and value realization
- Anticipating needs and responding to scope change requests
- Small Group Exercise: Stakeholder assessment and prioritization.
Deliverables Definition, Scheduling, and Tracking:
- Best practices in defining deliverables using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM)
- Exercise: Build an Engagement WBS and map deliverables to roles and responsibilities.

Core Communication Skills:

- Exploring the sender/receiver communication model.
- Essential communication skills and handling difficult conversations.
- Exercise: Practicing effective communication techniques.
Influencing Others:

Effectively Delegating and Escalating:
- Different approaches to delegation and the Expectancy Theory.

Eligibility / Requirements
High school diploma or global equivalent1,500 hours of work on a project team OR 23 contact hours of formal project management education
