A Pearson London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examination qualification or diploma is acknowledged as a guarantee of specific levels of attainment. The high standards of the Pearson LCCIEB’s awards are recognised by students and employers as international passports to employment.
This diploma is designed to help candidates develop a range of authentic skills that will be relevant to administrative roles in any business function. It is intended for those who wish to pursue a career in Business Administration.
At the end of the programme, students will be equipped with the appropriate administrative skills and knowledge to be highly competent administrative professionals.
MODULES
English for Business
- To choose the appropriate method of written business communication to carry out complex tasks in a variety of situations.
- To understand and write English using formats that are current and common in business communication.
- This is a Level 2 module.
Business Administration
- To have an understanding of internal organizational environment.
- To have an understanding of how to plan, organize and support meetings and events.
- To have an understanding of how to lead and manage the work of a team.
- This is a Level 3 module.
Business Principles and Practice
- To learn basic principles of management.
- To understand how national and multinational forms of businesses impact the local economy.
- To understand the nature of economic activity and the internal and external constraints in which a business operates.
- This is a Level 3 module.
Text Production
- To demonstrate accurate keyboarding skills.
- To use appropriate formats and conventions for different types of business documents.
- To produce and format text from manuscript and typescript, using standard business formats and conventions.
- This is a Level 3 module.
Practical ICT
- Word processing, spreadsheets and presentation graphics will be taught in this module.
- Software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint will be taught to help students produce the above office applications.
- This is a Level 3 module.
MODE OF DELIVERY
Face-to-face lecture and computer lab lessons for appropriate modules.
ADMISSION CRITERIA
- No formal academic qualifications.
- Applicants need to be 16 years of age and above.
- Preferably have an English language proficiency equivalent to GCE ‘N’ Level.
PROGRESSION CRITERIA
There are no pre-requisites for progression to later units.
GRADUATION CRITERIA
To graduate, students need to pass every unit within 2 calendar years between the first and the last unit.
ATTENDANCE CRITERIA
All students need to attend at least 75% of classes and to be eligible for a Certificate of Attendance. Student Pass holders are required to maintain an attendance of 90% and above to meet the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority requirement.

EDUCATIONAL PATHWAY
After completion of the LCCI diploma, students can progress to the Pearson BTEC Higher National Diploma or the SSTC Diploma in Commerce & Liberal Arts and thereafter pursue a degree with advanced standing.
