    As per Statutory Instrument (S.I.) 244 of 2014, there is a statutory requirement to ensure that each member of a local authority’s Audit Committee undertakes an induction training programme within three months of being appointed to the Audit Committee.

    The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) is delighted to be in a position to offer a half day’s facilitated induction programme for newly appointed Audit Committee members as per the Local Government (Audit Committee) Regulations, 2014.

    The governance team at the IPA, as part of their governance and assurance services, provides training, advice and assistance in all aspects of Local Government Audit and Governance systems.

    Course Content

    Using a combination of presentations, examples and group discussion, the main subject areas that will be covered during this half-day training programme include:
