Course details
The Higher Diploma in Business in Accounting is a taught programme aimed at preparing graduates for entry into the accounting profession.
The programme is designed for non-accounting graduates interested in pursuing a career in accountancy through professional qualifications, with graduates of this programme exempted from a significant number of professional accounting bodies’ exams.
The programme is intensive, with an emphasis on self-directed learning, but with excellent teaching staff and a low staff to student ratio. The small class sizes offer the opportunity of greater learning from lecturers and fellow students in an exciting and stimulating environment.
Modules
The subjects comprising the programme focus on core topics faced by accountants, and are pided into twelve 5-credit modules, listed below. All modules are 100% assessed through a final 2-hour examination and, in line with many professional accounting bodies’ exams, the pass mark has been set at 50%. There is no provision for compensation between modules.
