The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skills, and competence to work under supervision in providing support in a variety of Healthcare settings or to progress to further and or higher education and training. With an increasing ageing population, in addition to advances and developments in care services in Ireland; the demand for skilled and competent personnel is expected to grow significantly in the coming years.
