Week 1

Say hello and goodbye, use titles and address people, understand the alphabet, spelling names, ask for things, understand some prices, say numbers up to 20

Week 2

Introductions. Say name, age job. Ask someone for their name, age job. Count to 70. Ask someone where they live. Ask and Say nationality. Give country and town of birth. Ask someone if they are alright. Say how they are.

Week 3

Say whether married or single. Ask someone if they are married. Say someone’s name nationality , marital status. Say how many children they have, if any. Give children’s names and ages. Ask someone about their children. Talk about their other relatives. Use of tu and vous. Count up to 100.

Week 4

Say where they work (or not!!) Say whether they like their job. Ask and say what time it is. Say what time they start and finish work. Say how many hours a day/week they work. Say what they do on different days of the week. Say how often they do something. Read about someone else’s lifestyle.

Week 5

Say if they live in a house or a flat. Say if they live in town or country. Say where other people live. Give details to locate their home town. Understand information on where places are. Describe a town or village. Give your opinions of their town. Expressing likes / dislikes / hate etc. Using numbers in a series 1st, 2nd etc.

Week 6

Shopping for food. Flavours and ingredients. Asking the price. Saying what they’ve bought. Recipes. Quantities. Recognising names of shops. Making comparisons.

Week 7

Asking for and understanding directions. Using Paris metro. Asking for help in the metro or when driving. Giving directions. Recognising important signs.

Week 8

Buying a train ticket. Asking for train times and information. Arrange a journey by TGV. Modal verbs. Saying what they can and can’t do. Saying what they must and mustn’t do. Say how they travel to work. Understanding technical instructions.

Week 9

Booking hotels and campsites. Specifying the number of people. Ask if breakfast is included. Say they’ll be late. Ask for something that is missing. Understanding information on hotels.

Week 10

Describing their home. Rooms, gardens, floors. Household electrical items. Say who does which household task. Understand figures and percentages.
