Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a systematic and proactive method for evaluating a process to identify where and how it might fail, and to assess the relative impact of different failures in order to identify the parts of the process that are most in need of change.
The FMEA course provides an understanding of FMEA as a methodology and tool to identify failure modes and to resolve potential problems in a system before they occur.
It consists of an insight into its application in healthcare and the benefits it brings in today’s highly complex healthcare delivery system.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Participants will learn to identify potential failure modes in high risk processes within the healthcare environment, and develop solutions and strategies to prevent and reduce these failure modes.
