English Proficiency Program

Course details

The English Proficiency Program (EPP) is an internationally recognised English program and currently being at schools in USA, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Suriname and South Korea.

Course Objectives

• To develop skills and abilities to effectively use English for international communication;
• To develop strategies for “how to learn”;
• To develop competence in the skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing;
• To develop an awareness and understanding of the culture of English-speaking people; and
• To develop confidence to use the language to interact with English speakers.

Course Components:

Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing(Done within a thematic structure)

Course Structure

• EPP Level 1 – Elementary (IELTS: 0 – 3.5)
• EPP Level 2 – Pre-Intermediate (IELTS: 3.5 – 4.5)
• EPP Level 3 – Intermediate (IELTS: 4.5 – 5.0+)

Age Requirements

16 years old and above

Course Completion
Student must attain a minimum of 90% attendance to complete the course. A certificate will be awarded upon
course completion.

Mode of Internal Assessments

• Written tests/assignments
• Oral Presentations
• Role Plays
• Maximum allowed study period is 10 weeks for each course.
• Students who fail to complete the course within the maximum allowed study period will not be entitled to:
  • any recourse or refund.
  • Students are allowed to repeat the same course subject to approval from the Ascensia Management
