Course details
This course is aimed at those personnel within a workplace who may require an initial attack of small fires in order to prevent a protracted incident. Giving the basic underpinning knowledge and skills required to use basic fire fighting equipment
Course Pre-requisites
There are no prerequisites for this training.
Course Learning Outcomes
During the training the delegates will complete the following elements:
- Theory of combustion
- Fire spread
- Selection of fire fighting media
- Stretchers
- Extinguisher operations
- Selection & use of fire fighting hoses
- Selection/ Use & flushing out of Foam making equipment
- Responding to a Class B fire
- Responding to a Class A fire
Elements 4 through to 9 will be performed practically
Certification
Delegates will be issued with a Qatar International Safety Centre Certificate
