The IPA Commercial Certificate qualification is the latest addition to our Continuous Professional Development (CPD) programme and is designed to arm future leaders with the tools to understanding their agency finances. We are delighted to partner up with the IPA once again with this online course.
Objective
Written by the IPA Finance Policy Group, the Commercial qualification has been created to give future industry leaders an education in agency finance, to help with those important client conversations and to build the understanding that you need to create great work that delivers a great profit.
Who it is for
The Commercial Certificate is primarily aimed at Senior Account Manager & Account Director level (or equivalent). The qualification is also suitable for any staff that want to raise their commercial nous and get a better understanding of the commercial factors influencing agencies and clients.
Syllabus
The qualification is made up of seven sections:
- Terminology - the language of finance
- KPI's - the key numbers for agencies
- Fees - how agencies are paid
- Finance and Production
- Contract elements
- Finance and Media Agencies
- Client P&L
The qualification is examined via a 30 minute online exam, delegates must pass a mid-module quiz in order to unlock the exam. There is also a downloadable app (instructions available when accessing the learning) to assist with remote revision. The content, the exam and the app are all free of charge to IAPI member advertising agencies.
