Course details
This course is designed to support teachers and those involved in choral music who wish to develop both their musicianship and their choral conducting technique. The course comprises four modules that build expertise successively through the gradual introduction of new repertoire, a range of musical genres, and musical works of increasing challenge for the choral conductor. Each module features the integration of conducting experience with the study of rehearsal technique, pedagogy, and related musical theory. The importance of choral music participation in the wider educational and social sphere is also discussed.
