Course details
This course prepares students who are not native speakers of English to communicate in English, in everyday situations and prepare them for a tertiary education conducted in English. Students are taught listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

4 Skills – Listening, Speaking, Writing, Reading:
- Grammar practice
- Vocabulary practice
- Sentence/ Paragraph Writing
- Interactive activities
- Reading Comprehension
- Conversational English
Entry criteria: Certificate in English for
Communication – Level 1 or equivalent
Mode of Delivery: Lectures/ Tutorials
Assessment Mode: 100% Examination Based
Average Teacher-Student Ratio: 1-to-20
Promotion and Award Criteria:
- 50% passed mark to be obtained during Test to progress to next level
- Certificate will be awarded for the module passed (50% mark)
