Course details
The aim of the programme is to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and competence to work under supervision providing assistance and support within a catering setting, or alternatively, to progress to further training or education. The programme also aims to support learners in achieving Fetac Level 4 certification in Catering Support . Using a 40/40/20 Train and Place model of delivery, learners will attend in-centre theoretical and practical skills training two days per week and will complete a work experience placement provided by a host company in a catering environment for two days per week. Practical skills will be taught and assessed in a Production Kitchen setting, covering specific learning outcomes to achieve Fetac component certification.
