Course Overview 

It is common that professionals (who are not trained project managers) are being asked to manage ‘day-to-day’ projects. In the absence of project management expertise, to manage in these situations we need proper project management thinking and a simplified approach.

What does ‘day-to-day’ mean?

These are ‘small and simple’ projects. Most will say that projects are not ‘simple’ and we agree that most projects have a degree of complexity, but not all. ‘Small’ is relative and a factor of organization and industry. For industrial projects, a million dollar project is small. On the other hand, for internal business projects a million dollar represent a huge project for most organizations.

‘Day-to-day’ projects are not projects that we can deliver in a day. They are projects that require a few weeks, or months. The key here is that they do not require extensive duration, funds, or resources. Examples of these projects are a marketing campaign for a small & medium organization; a learning program for a business unit; writing and publishing a book; or developing a new financial process.

The Project Management for Non-Project Managers workshop is an ideal workshop for those who are anxious and interested in learning how to take the first steps in their project management practices. The workshop allows the participants to gain excellent understanding of a simplified model which is in alignment with global standards; such as PMI’s PMBOK® Guide.
