SCAFFOLD SUPERVISOR COURSE OUTLINE
Section I: Introduction to Health & Safety
The course begins with an introduction to health and safety, emphasizing on the importance of looking after oneself and fellow colleagues by following Health and Safety guidelines, aiming at instigating a change in the attitude of the individual, which in turn starts the development towards a positive Health & Safety culture.
Section II: Basic terminologies in Health and Safety
The basic Health & Safety terminologies used in day to day activity are elaborated so that the staff develops a correct perception of what they are dealing with on site and which proves very helpful when progressing through the course.
Section III: Introduction to Scaffolding and its Classification
This section introduces the participants to what is Scaffolding and different types of Scaffolding System available in the market and how to identify them.
Section IV: Introductory Video
The participants are introduced to the overall concept of Scaffolding Safety in this brief and interesting Video
Section V: Scaffolding Hazards
All Hazards associated with Scaffolding are covered in detail and participants are taught how to identify hazards.
Section VI: Loads
Classification of Scaffolding based on the loading capacity and the calculation of load.
Section VII: Fall Protection
Different types of fall protection methods that can be applied as per the practical situation and its limitations.
Section VIII: Accessories
All Accessories used in Scaffolding erection and dismantling and their safe operation procedures.
Section IX: Ladder Safety
Safe use of Ladders in scaffolding.
Section X: Guardrails
This section covers the specifications of the guardrails used on Scaffolds.
Section XI: PPE
PPE is an important part of all activities and this section emphasizes the use of PPE and its advantages.
Section XII: Simple Procedure
